Rained in the night. Had to pack up the tent wet, although it did stop raining long enough for us to do that. Had a brew, but decided to have breakfast in the cafe/bar. Closed! Oh well, ate half an energy bar each, then started up a long steep hill off to Criccieth. Started raining, naturally. Arrived in Criccieth and stopped in a cafe there for breakfast. An hour later, started off again, picked up a cycle route and got eventually back to the cycle track we'd started off on yesterday. This was after going down a road displaying a 'Road closed' sign, but not believing that a couple of bikes couldn't get through. Down a steep hill to discover at the bottom that the road over a stream was missing! There were a few sandbags in the stream, so Peter climbed down onto those whilst I held his bike and he carried both bikes over (with luggage still attached - heavy!). I then crossed over and off we went. Neither of us wanted to go back up that hill! The weather cleared up close to home, so again, arrived at our destination in the dry. No major problems, but we had a few things on our list that we decided we needed to pack for the big one (e.g. some oil removing wipes for when chains come off).
P.S. Found out why my remote blogging didn't work yesterday - I was using the wrong address!
